Modern Slavery Statement
Armstrong Nationwide Limited (“the Company”) operates two main businesses: 1) vehicle recoveries and associated services 2) finance broking where we act as an intermediary between corporate or consumer customers and lenders in order to provide relevant funding.
The Company only operates within the United Kingdom.
The Company is committed to combatting slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains, and we make this statement to assist with compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Due to the fact that the Company has a turnover of less than £36 million, we do not have a legal obligation to produce a modern slavery statement. However, we:
Completely agree that exploitation within all supply chains in the UK is a scar on our society, so we are committed to playing our part in eliminating exploitation.
Understand that Clients with obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 cannot comply with those duties without our cooperation.
To that end, we confirm that we have examined our own business and, to the extent that it is reasonably practicable, businesses within our supply chain and we confirm the following:
Pre-Employment Due Diligence
Our business structure is made up of employed and self-employed personnel. All personnel regardless of their employment status are subject to the Company’s strict pre-employment on-boarding process.
We confirm that within our own business, no relevant offence relating to slavery or human tracking has ever been identified as having been committed.
Supply Chain Due Diligence
Where reasonably possible and practicable, we ensure due diligence is carried out for modern slavery risk. During procurement, we ensure that businesses in our supply chain have made a similar statement relating to slavery and human trafficking.
As is reasonably practicable, we have examined our supply chains and confirm that we found no evidence of slavery or human trafficking.
Risk Mitigation
We understand that certain industry sectors and geographical regions entail greater risk of exploitation than others. We do not believe that our supply chain or geography of operation fall within one of those sectors or regions.
Apportionment of Responsibility
The contact in our business responsible for assessing matters relating to slavery and human trafficking is Steve Barber (Director).
We also encourage all personnel to report on any matters relating to slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains if and when they become aware.
